We are a state-wide group of Oregon licensed professional
counselors (LPC's), licensed marriage and family therapists
(LMFT's), licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), registered
interns, university faculty, students, school counselors,
psychologists, and agency and hospital staff.
We
are a diverse group of professionals who believe strongly
in the rights of consumers to have greater access to adequate
mental health care. Moreover, we believe that the State of
Oregon has an obligation to provide consumers with information
about, and adequate protection from unlicensed mental health
care providers who are currently unregulated under
state law.
While
we advocate for the benefit of our respective professions,
our primary concern with the mental health care bills now
being considered is the welfare of our clients.
